Keep benches and floors clean.  Please remove dead plant material from the benches and sweep the floor with the non-sterile broom if necessary.  A non-sterile broom, dust pan, shovel, and squeegee can be found in the crosshouse.  Greenhouse floors must be cleaned after every lab or a minimum of once a month.

Put plant material in the Plant Material Recylcle bins.

DO NOT put contaminated tools, materials, and plants on benches.  If you see plant material that appears to be diseased (such as at right) or has insects, tell Daniel.

Always use sterile pots and tools.  Used pots are sterilized and reused in this greenhouse.  Put dirty pots and containers in the PCF dirty pot and container bin.  DO NOT use pots located in the Dirty Pot and Container Bins.  Sterile pots are located in the PCF supply room.

Greenhouse floors are not storage areas.  Please place plants, tools, and other materials in appropriate locations after use. If you have taken tools from the lab to the greenhouse, return them to the lab before leaving for the day.

The hose wand should never touch the ground.  If it has, please notify Daniel or greenhouse staff to properly sanitize the wand.

Do not bring in any plant material to the greenhouse without properly notifying Daniel and greenhouse staff for approval.  Diseased and insect infested plant material brought into the greenhouse could be a major disaster that can easily be avoided.

Please do not stand or put feet on the benches.  This transmits soil borne diseases.

Please keep the greenhouse clean and organized!  It is greatly appreciated by everyone who uses the greenhouse!
